[PTCG] 2025-2026 Master Ball League - Top 4 Deck Analysis
"Top-tier showdown, clash of champions! The results of this year's Pokémon Master Ball League are officially out. This time, 1803 players participated in the Master Ball. To reach the top four out of so many players in the Master Ball arena, it takes not just luck, but also an extreme mastery of deck building. Which builds successfully dominated this tournament? Let's take a look at these four top-four decks that combine both strength and creativity!
ChampionBlaziken ex Dragapult ex
Review
Dual-type Attacker Pokémon - If Dragapult ex is targeted, Blaziken ex can serve as an alternative attacker.
Blaziken ex's ability allows energy attachment from the discard pile, reducing the energy attachment pressure on Dragapult ex. Compared to Dragapult ex decks that rely on Jacq (Supporter), this deck has more flexibility in choosing Supporters (Boss's Orders for targeting, Lillie for draw power). Additionally, it's easier to pair with Infernape for attacks compared to standard Dragapult ex decks.
Requires Rare Candy to evolve (struggles against item lock).
Runner-up Dusknoir Dragapult ex
Review
High damage - Easier to deal with Pokémon with higher HP (easier to handle Garchomp ex, Zoroark ex).
High damage flexibility, capable of taking 3-4 prize cards in one turn.
When the opponent has one prize card left, Dusknoir can become a weakness for the deck, or if the opponent's Dragapult ex attacks first, the 60 HP Duskull can easily become a KO target.
Top 4 Dusknoir Greninja ex
Review
Utilizes the ACE SPEC Giant Hearth to evolve Tera Greninja ex and uses its second attack to KO the opponent's Basic Pokémon (70 HP Basic), effectively hindering the opponent's setup.
Can use Dusknoir to deal with decks that include Shaymin.
Since it utilizes the ACE SPEC Giant Hearth to evolve, item-locking Pokémon do not significantly affect the deck.
Manual energy attachment each turn is crucial.
Top 4 Ogerpon Teal Mask Morpeko
Review
Theoretically infinite damage
Ogerpon Teal Mask has a natural advantage against Grass-weak decks in the meta.
Relatively simple to operate the deck
Against Pokémon (ex or Basic) that cannot be damaged or affected by abilities or attacks (Crustle and Terapagos ex), the deck has no way to win.
That concludes the analysis of the top four decks. I believe Dragapult ex decks will be the Worlds format this year. Let me know what other deck analyses you'd like to see, stay tuned!
